Aspen, Colorado Nightlife – Theater and Comedy

This article was written by: Tours of Bruges.

Founded in 1983 by Kent Reed, Theatre in the Park has become an Aspen tradition that adds to the delight of Aspen, CO Nightlife. Theatre in the Park once actually was theatre that was performed in a tent in the park. Now, however, Theatre in the Park has changed its name to Theatre Aspen, CO, and a new permanent structure is in development. This will allow Theatre in the Park to hold year-round performances, instead of summer-only performances.

Contemporary and classical plays are all presented by the theatre. If you are in Aspen, Colorado around Christmas time, make sure that you see the theatre's presentation of "Its A Wonderful Life." As a summer-only venue, sixty shows are performed each year. Once the company has its permanent structure, we can expect many more each year.

The Theatre Aspen, CO also has many training programs for adults and children. Currently, performances are held between June and August. The Theatre in the Park is located in the Rio Grande Park. Heat is provided on chilly nights, and there is an area to enjoy cocktails during intermissions, as well as before and after performances.

If you like comedy, you should visit The Crystal Palace. This Aspen, Colorado landmark was established in 1957, and has been offering quality dining with satire comedy ever since. The interior of the restaurant is done in a Victorian style, with beautiful stained glass windows, sparkling chandeliers, and vintage furnishings.

If you take politics very seriously, this may not be the type of comedy you enjoy. The majority of the comedy acts and musicals have a political slant to them, and the staff performs most of the acts. The Crystal Palace is located in the heart of downtown Aspen, CO, on Hyman Avenue.

The food is the best you can find anywhere. Prime Rib, Rack of Lamb, Fish, Seafood, and Roast Duckling are served. Don't make the mistake of just showing up – call ahead for reservations. The Crystal Palace is open Tuesday through Sunday in the evening for dinner and a show. You should definitely make it a point to eat here at least once while you are on your Aspen, CO vacation, as this is a traditional part of Aspen Night life for locals and guests. Additionally, you should ask for affordable health insurance coverage.

Aspen, CO Night life – The Wheeler Opera House

This text was written by: Berlin Flights.

The Wheeler Opera House has been an integral part of Aspen, CO Nite life, history, and culture since 1889 when Mr. J.B Wheeler and the Conried Company presented The King's Fool. While the building started out as an Opera House, it was only used for town meetings and such by 1893, when the silver mines had played out.

The Wheeler Opera House remained open until 1912 when it was gutted by not one, but two fires in one week! The Opera House did not open again until June of 1946 when it was leased by the Aspen Company. The total restoration went on until 1960. Between the years of 1912 and 1946 the Wheeler Opera House remained empty, and it was used as a playground by the local children.

During the 1960's and 1970's, The Wheeler Opera House was mainly used as a movie theater. However, in 1979, the city decided to restore the Opera House to its original grandeur, and this restoration was completed in 1984. The cost was 4.5 million dollars. Today, the Wheeler Opera House is on the National Registrar of Historical Places.

Many events, such as lectures, concerts, plays, films, and musicals are held at The Wheeler Opera House today. You can see Broadway shows, jazz concerts, country and rock concerts, and even children's theater here. Any type of cultural event you can imagine is held here – and shows are scheduled throughout the year. Locals consider the Wheeler Opera House the 'crown jewel of Aspen, CO.' Nationwide, it is considered a world class theater – and with the detailed woodwork it is certainly a sight to behold!

The Opera House is still in its original location on Hyman Avenue, in the heart of downtown Aspen, CO. You can call to find out what events are planned, and to purchase tickets. Remember that this is a popular place, and shows do sell out quickly – so purchase your tickets as early as possible. You should also be aware that children under the age of three years old are not permitted for live performances, unless the performance is for children specifically. Cameras and recording devices are not permitted for performances.

The Wheeler Opera House can also be rented for a variety of special occasions and events, such as parties, receptions, weddings, conferences, and seminars. Events such as these are usually held on the second floor, where guests will enjoy a breathtaking view of Aspen Mountain, as well as the city. Moreover, remember to request  online instant health insurance quotes.

Aspen, Colorado Nite life – The Ultimate Taxi

This post was provided by: Belgium Vacation.

This isn't your ordinary taxi ride! The Ultimate Taxi is actually entertainment that is not to be missed. This is a thirty to forty minute musical ride around Aspen – but it's not like any other ride you will take in your lifetime.

The taxi you will be riding in is a 1978 Checker cab. It has been greatly modified and boasts four red lasers, a laser projector, black light effects, light washers, light orbs, mini-strobes, color changing fiber optics, a sound system, stage lights, a mirror ball, a fog machine, a keyboard, digital drums, a digital camera, a DV cam, a notebook computer, a printer, and much, much more.

Your driver will be Jon Barnes, and he has been driving tourists around Aspen since 1984. He throws in a pair of 3-D glasses, so you can view Aspen as you never have before. Featured online, in radio interviews, magazines, and newspapers, the Ultimate Taxi has become very popular. Many famous people have taken this cab ride as well, including Clint Eastwood and Jerry Seinfeld.

Get ready for a wild ride! Jon plays the keyboard and the horn while driving! With your 3-D glasses and the other toys that are included in the ride, combined with the psychedelic lighting effects, this is one ride that you will never forget! In fact, Jon makes sure of it, because there will be pictures to help you remember the event.

Make sure you buy some souvenirs before you leave. The Ultimate Taxi gift store is located right outside the doors, in the trunk. You will also have a web page memory of your ride in the Ultimate Taxi hosted on Jon's server for all time. Take your toys and 3-D glasses home with you as well.

The Ultimate Taxi is not a 'normal' taxi ride. You don't call Jon Barnes to take you where you want to go. The Ultimate Taxi is more of a musical show and adventure. It has been called the world's smallest recording studio.

Aspen, CO Nightlife – The Sneaker Ball

This post was provided by: Belgian Flights.

You may have been to many balls in your lifetime, such as Christmas Balls, Spring Balls, and even Debutante Balls – but if you haven't been to the Sneaker Ball in Aspen, you are missing out on all the fun! Known as 'Aspen's Greatest Party,' the Sneaker Ball is held annually at the St. Regis Hotel on East Dean Street every March.

Back in 1986, the very first Sneaker Ball was held by Al Gross and David Nauss of Paine Weber, Inc – in Boston. The party was a celebration of Reebok shares trading on the stock market for the very first time. This black tie event was much like other balls – but everyone was wearing Reeboks, and the first Sneaker Ball was born.

The following year, Al Gross decided that this was the kind of party that people really liked – but instead of being limited to white Reeboks, the idea would be for the guests to wear formal gowns and tuxedos, with decorated tennis shoes. The party was moved to Aspen, Colorado, where people know how to party – and thousands of people from all over the world fly into Aspen, Colorado to attend.

One of the nicest things guests like about the Sneaker Ball is that it is for a good cause. All of the proceeds go to Grass Roots, which is a program designed to help inner-city kids. These kids are brought to Aspen, Colorado to experience what life outside the city is. Many of these kids don't even realize that places like Aspen really exist. Tickets cost $125 per person, which isn't too bad considering that the money is for a good cause.

People from diverse backgrounds attend the Sneaker Ball each year. Famous people are there, infamous people, and people who are neither famous nor infamous attend – and every one has a fantastic time. The party gets started at about 9:30pm and ends around 1:30am – followed by many 'after parties' in various locations throughout Aspen.

If you've ever wanted to attend one of those glitzy 'Hollywood type' parties, here is your chance! You will rub elbows with the famous, show off your custom designed sneakers along with your formal wear, and dance the night away – and all for a very good cause.

This is an event that sells out fast. Contact the Chamber of Commerce in Aspen, CO to find out when the Sneaker Ball is scheduled, and purchase your tickets right away. Also check with the various hotels and lodges to inquire about package deals and get your reservations set before everything is sold out! Also, remember to request The Place To Compare Health Insurance Quotes Online.

Aspen Night life – The Caribou Club

This article was written by: Barcelona Holidays.

According to The New York Post, the Caribou Club is the absolute best private club in America. This is a member's only private club, and the membership fee is quite high – but the ambiance is top-notch!

The Caribou Club is located in Aspen, Colorado on East Hopkins Avenue. The club is open from 6:30pm until 2am every day, and you can enjoy dinner and dancing, or lounge in the Great Room before a roaring fireplace with a fine cigar. The wine cellar houses over 5000 wines from around the world.

There is more to The Caribou Club than fine dining and dancing, however. When you enter the club, you are entering a world of elegance that can only be experienced here. The walls are covered with 19th century paintings. There is a coat room, where your coat will be taken from you, and you are made to feel like a very welcome houseguest. You can then go to the bar, the Great Room, or be seated for dinner – the choice is yours.

The Caribou Club has only been open for about ten years, but it has become an integral part of Aspen, Colorado Night life for the rich and famous – and even for those who are not famous, nor rich, but who can afford to pay the membership fees. When you enter the Great Room at The Caribou Club, you will probably see faces that you know – even if you don't know these famous people on a personal level.

You don't even have to be in Aspen, CO to enjoy the cuisine offered by The Caribou Club. Your event can be catered by the club, no matter how large or small it is, or where it is located. You can have your event catered anywhere in the world! Private parties can also be held at The Caribou Club.

Again, the cost is fairly high. Lifetime membership for a couple is $10,000. Individual membership for two people is $3000 for the first year, and $1000 for each additional year, paid annually. Family membership for up to five people costs $4000 per year. A temporary membership is available for one week. The cost is $500 and covers one couple. However, during Holidays and President's Weekend, the cost is $1000.

As you can see, The Caribou Club is quite exclusive – but depending on the type of Nite life you enjoy, the cost of membership is well worth it – even if you only visit once a year. Moreover, remember to request on line health insurance quote.

Go to a restaurant that isn't in your plans, or spend some time in the Great Room at your lodge. There is always something to do…but sometimes, it is nice to have nothing to do as well!

Aspen Nightlife and the Altitude

This article was written by: Book Your Holiday to Amsterdam

There is more to do in Aspen than ski! The Aspen Nightlife is like nothing you will experience elsewhere. The warmth and camaraderie of all of the skiers, from all of the different lodges is quite special, and remarkable. You will have a good time in Aspen, CO, no matter what you choose to do, but there is one thing that you should be very aware of before you start your party – the altitude.

Aspen, CO sits about 8000 feet above sea level. Unless you live in a high altitude area, you will need to adjust to this altitude. You may find yourself feeling dizzy or light headed, and you may even find it a bit difficult to breath. Altitude Sickness is a serious problem, and if your symptoms become extreme, you should seek medical attention.

If you will be drinking, you need to know that the altitude will have a large impact on the way your body handles the alcohol. Many people who are not used to such a high altitude find that they become drunker on much less alcohol, in a very short period of time. It is best that you avoid drinking alcohol at all until you have adjusted to the altitude.

It is also important to recognize the signs of both Altitude sickness and Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Altitude sickness can be recognized by hyperventilation, shortness of breath during exertion, increased urination, changed breathing patterns at night, strange dreams, and frequently waking from sleep during the night. Acute Mountain Sickness, on the other hand, is recognized by loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue or weakness, dizziness, light-headedness, difficulty sleeping, confusion, and a staggering gait.

As you can see, the symptoms of both Altitude Sickness and Acute Mountain Sickness somewhat resemble the symptoms of drinking too much alcohol. The only way to rule out being drunk is to not drink for at least 48 hours after your arrival in the higher altitude. You should also seek medical attention if your symptoms last more than 48 hours, or if you show signs of Acute Mountain Sickness. AMS can be deadly if it is not treated. Moreover, remember to request How To Get Cheap Online Health Insurance Quotes.

Health care professionals suggest that you avoid drinking alcohol because the effects are magnified at a high altitude. Avoid strenuous activity for the first couple of days after arriving at the higher altitude. Drink extra fluid and visit a doctor if you have symptoms of AMS immediately for treatment.

Holiday Dates To Avoid For Vacation

Medan City

So many people travel for important holidays that you may be quite disappointed with the cost of it. There are great ways you can save money though whether you are traveling by plane, train, or bus to get to your destination for the holidays. It is essential that you book your travel arrangements early. You don’t want to be stuck without a way to get where you want to be for the holidays due to everything being sold out. You also want to take your time to compare prices.

You will find some travel dates should simply be avoided around the holidays. This will allow you to avoid crowds which often equal substantial delays. You will also be able to get the same travel arrangements at a lower price just by carefully calculating the best times to travel.

You may not think that Valentine’s Day is a top travel holiday but it is. It is very important for people to be able to spend this holiday together. Since Presidents Day is very close to Valentine’s Day many people are able to take a long weekend. Avoid traveling during this Monday holiday and you will save money. Instead fly out in the next few days and then stay for a couple of days after Valentine’s Day instead of before.

Spring break takes place for about three weeks in March depending on which schools people are attending. If you plan to travel for spring break you need to plan it very carefully to maximize your time and to get good prices. Many colleges allow people to complete their final exams early. Try to do this and travel on a Wednesday or Thursday. Avoid peak days such as Friday and Saturday. You also want to come back on week days as they will be lower volume dates for travel.

Many people fly to see their parents for Mother’s Day and for Father’s Day. These are important holidays that take place on a Sunday in May and then on a Sunday in June. Traveling on the actual day will save you money over flying out on the Friday or Saturday before. This way you can get there on their special day and stay around for a few days. Your return trip should be for one of the weekdays the holiday period instead of the weekend.

Thanksgiving is a common holiday that people travel for. Since it always falls on a Thursday, most people get an extended weekend so they can go visit for a few days or take a vacation. The peak of this vacation for travel takes place on the day before Thanksgiving. However, if you are willing to travel on Thanksgiving Day you can avoid the crowds. You will also find you save up to 50% of the price of getting there just by waiting less than 24 hours.

Most people return from their Thanks Giving holiday on the Sunday following the holiday. Try to avoid this day as well and return on the following Monday. Most employers want some people to be in the office on the Wednesday before so offer to do it in exchange for having the following Monday off.

Christmas Season is another peak holiday travel time, and you will find the fares get much higher the closer it gets to the 25th of December. Try to travel before the 19th in order to take advantage of the best possible fares. If you won’t be able to stay through New Year’s that choose a day in the middle of the week after Christmas. These are often slower days than the weekends and you will get better prices.

Avoid travel on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day as they are two of the most popular travel dates of the year. Fares are usually double what they normally cost so you will save yourself plenty of money and unexpected delays if you can work around them on your travel.

The Beauty and Wonder of Costa Rica

Costa Rica is located in Central America. It's part of the land mass which connects North America and South America. Costa Rica is bordered by Panama to the south, The Pacific Ocean to the west, Nicaragua to the north, and the Caribbean Sea is its eastern border.

Costa Rica has many miles of beaches- approximately 635 miles on the Pacific side, and 132 miles on the Caribbean side. Costa Rica is about 10 degrees above the equator, so the climate is mostly tropical.

Since Costa Rica seats between two oceans and two continents, it has a wide variety of plant and animal species. Some would call Costa Rica as one of the Nature's greatest wonders. The country is defined as extremely bio-diverse, and is home to a huge number of plant and fauna species. In fact, the region has 20 national parks, 8 biological reserves, and multiple other protected areas, guaranteed to thrill the most devoted nature lover.

There are seven provinces in Costa Rica: Alajuela, Cartago, Heredia, Limon, Guanacaste, Puntarenas, and San Jose. The ecotourism focus is evident in all these areas, as you experience a wide variety of natural formations, including rainforests, mountains, beaches, rivers and volcanoes. In addition, you can see more than 2000 kinds of trees, 200 species of mammals, 800 kinds of ferns, and 1,000 kinds of orchids. Clearly, there are many things to do in Costa Rica.

Five percent of all known animals live in Costa Rica. In fact, the land bridge that Costa Rica sits on is thought to be responsible for the diversity of animals within the country, as some traveled down from North America, and some traveled up from South America.

And the natural charm doesn't stop there. As mentioned previously, Costa Rica has several hundred miles of coastline- and where there is coastline, there are beaches. The edge of the country has hundreds of miles of beaches, with the ones on the Pacific side being more secret, less developed, and smaller than those on the Caribbean side. The interior geography of the country is defined by mountains which run from north to south. The country's capital, San Jose, is in the center of Costa Rica, and sits within a mountain valley.

Due to the presence of beaches and mountains, Costa Rica has a unique geographic environment. It has seven active volcanoes, along with several dormant ones. It also has a large network of rivers, in addition to the beaches and mountains we've already covered.

Yes, Costa Rica is a true paradise. Due to its location, temperatures are constant throughout the year, varying only a few degrees through the seasons. Since it is a tropical country, days are usually hot, but the nights bring with them a cool tropical breeze.

If you want to experience lounging at the beach, hiking in the mountains, and getting up close with all kinds of animals and plant species, you won't find a better place to do this than Costa Rica.

Aspen, Colorado has three basic areas: downtown, the West end, and the East end. The town is remarkably small, considering how many people venture here each season – but surprisingly, everyone and everything just fits. The town is actually small enough to leave your car parked at your lodge or hotel and walk anywhere that you want to go. In fact, this is recommended.

Not everyone pays heed to this advice, which can make driving around and parking very difficult. Moreover, never forget to ask about free health insurance quotes. You can also take a free shuttle from one mountain to another, take the Roaring Fork Transit Authority Bus, or go to the Rubey Park Transportation Center to get a ride anywhere in the valley.

Don't worry about getting lost. The town is well laid out. Starting on the West end, you will find a quiet Victorian neighborhood. While this is a residential district, where locals live, you will also find many hotels and condos on the West end, particularly on Main Street. You will also find the Aspen Meadows Conference Center and Hotel. This is a 40-acre area where you will also find the Aspen, Colorado Institute, the Music Tent, the Harris Concert Hall, the Paepcke Auditorium, the Aspen, CO Center for Environmental Studies, the Hallam Lake Nature Preserve, and the Aspen Center for Physics.

In the East end of Aspen, CO you will find another residential area, as well as the Roaring Fork River and the Aspen, CO Club and Spa. The East end features more forests than the West end, which has been developed a great deal more. Between the West End and the East End, you will find downtown Aspen, Colorado. Downtown is where most of the action is. Featuring old Victorian buildings, downtown Aspen, Colorado boasts pubs, restaurants, shops, and everything else you could ever possibly need – all housed in beautiful historical landmark buildings.

Down the valley a ways, you will find Snowmass Village. To the west, you will also find Roaring Fork Valley. These two villages are compliments of Aspen, and you should take the time to visit them as well.

Navigate Your Way Through Italy with Hand Gestures

learn to speak Italian

You don't need to speak Italian to travel through Italy. Italian hand signals, an outgoing personality, and a genuine smile are everything you need. Before you know it, you'll be able to conquer Il Bel Paese.

Still, before you go, you are better off learn to speak Italian. To guide you, though, you can use these Italian hand gestures.

Un momento!

"One moment, please" is the correct translation for this. You can do this by pointing your index finger upwards, which essentially looks like the number one. "May I speak, please?" is another message you can convey with this hand signal, though you will need to learn Italian then.

Ho fame

This translates to " I am hungry", a plea to your hosts to feed you. To send an obvious message, use the side of your flat hand to hit your stomach. But you will find yourself sick of pizza and pasta if you do not know Italian food words to understand Italian food. You'll understand the difference between pollo and polipo if you learn Italian. Who knows what allergies these foods might bring to you?

Ehi tu, vieni qui

This is one hand signal you'll do well to apply with caution. It can look sexually inviting or obnoxious as it means "Hey! Come here, you!" It's made by a come hither signal also used by numerous Americans. When you want someone to come and assist you, you're better off learning to say "Prego, potete aiutarli?"

Silenzio

This uses the universal gesture of pressing your index finger to your lips for "silence." If you want to explain why you want quiet, however, you will have to learn Italian.

Idea!

Put your hand on your head and look happy, and you have successfully conveyed that you have an idea. When you tell them about this idea, though, learning Italian will be useful.

Perfetto

This looks like the American gesture for "okay" - the thumb and index fingers making a circle. This is very useful if you can't speak Italian and wish to compliment somebody.

Scusi, devo andare al bagno

Meaning "I must go to the bathroom", this is a very important gesture. You will be directed to the closest rest room by putting on a pained expression and holding up your index and middle fingers. For the diarrhea-prone traveler, this is very handy indeed.

Indeed, Italian hand gestures are true poetry. To read Italian street signs and speak with the locals, though, learning Italian is still useful. Choose to have the best of both worlds, instead.

The Beijing Olympics: Prime Time to Study Chinese

learn chinese

The 2008 Summer Olympics will officially start in Beijing on the lucky day of August 8, 2008. Here are some handy tips in learning Chinese and act like them if you are going to China to watch the XXIX Olympiad events.

Be Aware of the Rules

Although the Olympics is supposed to bring the whole world together in unity, there are still numerous laws that must be followed. China has very rigid rules for both locals and visitors, and it'll do you good to learn them to prevent trouble.

It'll pay to learn Chinese because the laws are in Chinese. If you can communicate in the language, talking with the locals will also be simpler. If you require directions or any kind of help, this would certainly be handy.

The Chinese government have declared certain areas like military installations off-limits to foreigners. Banned from entering the country are people with anti-China sentiments, mental handicap, and sexually transmitted diseases. If you speak Chinese, you have a better chance of securing a Chinese visa.

The Culture

Chinese culture has been in existence for several millenia. You can deal with the Chinese people if you study portions of this culture.

Personal relationships normally stem from business relationships. In China, the more you cultivate a close personal relationship, no matter how fleeting, the more opportunities to close a negotiation on your own terms. Try to engage in banter and show interest in a store owner when bargaining. You're sweetening the sugar, in a manner of speaking. In order to chat and haggle, learn Chinese.

Seniority is extremely important to the Chinese. Instead of referring to a person by Mister or Miss, referring to them by their designation (Director/Chairman) is better practice. Also, give out and take business cards with both hands outstretched; be sure that the name on your business card faces the recipient so that he can read it at once.

You have to show more respect to important people with seniority and rank. Offer gifts, and don't say no to one that's given to you. Most importantly, do not embarrass a Chinese person publicly because "face" is very important to them.

Other extremely essential things to remember involve not airing out pro-Tibet and pro-Taiwan feelings, not complimenting the Japanese in any way, not putting down exalted Chinese leaders like Mao Tse Tung, and not plastering a permafrown on your face.

You'll do very well to do as the Chinese do when in China. For fluent communication, learn Chinese online.

Yosemite Park: A Vacation to Remember!

Every year, millions of visitors from around the world flock to California to spend their summer vacation in Yosemite National Park.  Located in the heart of California, Yosemite National Park is easily accessible via highway or via Fresno International Airport, which lies a mere 61 miles from the south gate of the park.  While Yosemite is a popular destination year round, summers in Yosemite are especially appealing to travelers, coaxing more than three-million tourists annually.

With Yosemite's myriad of activities and attractions it is easy for everyone in the family to find something fun to do.  Each summer, dozens of campgrounds in the park are reserved months in advance, as tourists seek to take advantage of the natural beauty while on vacation in Yosemite.

Hiking is a popular reason that people often choose to take their vacation in Yosemite.  There are endless miles of hiking trails within the park which showcase it's natural beauty. Yosemite also has also become one of the most popular destinations in North America for it's rock climbing possibilities, and world famous El Capitan is a rock climbers dream come true.   If photography is your thing, there are seemingly endless, beautifully composed scenes just waiting to be captured on film.

Though the summer season is the most popular, it is not the only time to take a vacation in Yosemite. Winter can provide a much less crowded yet equally as appealing experience in the park.  .  Most hotels in Yosemite are open through the winter, and some offer special events, such as the Bracebridge Dinner, Vintner's Holidays, and Chef's Holidays at the Ahwahnee Hotel.  In addition to these special events, visitors can also test their skills on the ski hill at Badger Pass during a winter vacation in Yosemite.   Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are popular as well on the trails near the Tenaya Lodge, where there is also an ice skating rink for visitors to enjoy.  Those who are blessed to have experienced a vacation in Yosemite during each season of the year, will probably find it hard to decide what season is Yosemite’s most beautiful and enjoyable.

Whether guests choose to take their vacation in Yosemite National Park during the summer or winter season, one thing is for sure:  there are endless ways to enjoy this beautiful park!

Sharm, Egypt: Rising Resort Star in Egypt

Sharm el Skeikh, or just Sharm, is one of the hottest travel destinations in the Arab world, and for good reason. It has quickly become one of the finest diving destinations in the world, and the variety of activities available to the traveler is mind boggling.

Forty years ago, Sharm Egypt wasn't much more than a tiny fishing village. But during Israel's occupation, Sharm began to transform into a tourist destination as the land was developed. It now contains many of the amenities that you would expect to find in a travel destination, except that it's been able to maintain its historic roots.

Sharm and nearby Hurghada are located on the Red Sea coast, and just offshore there is a wide spectrum of beautiful coral and aquatic life, including sharks and dolphins, if that's your cup of tea! Sharm caters to scuba divers of all levels, so even if you're new to the activity, you'll find a reputable dive operator who can accommodate you.

If scuba diving is not for you, there are plenty of other beach activities that you can participate in. Sharm and Hurghada beaches have gorgeous white sand and the water is crystal clear. Bad pictures are almost impossible to take here!

While some areas in Egypt are known more for their historic value, Sharm has a reputation as more of a beach or resort destination. Here you'll find hotels in all price ranges, including some world-class properties, and you'll also find an active nightlife, which is not especially common in Egypt. But do expect to pay dearly for alcoholic beverages, even in this more liberal area.

Egypt hosts more than 5 million visitors each year, and in recent years, over one fourth of them have visited Sharm. The locals are very accommodating and friendly with travelers, but there are still some taboo customs that you should be aware of if you're planning a vacation. To get the most out of your holiday, look into Egypt packages, which will help you plan your travel.

For the most part, most of Egypt is generally safe. There is very little violent crime, and the most likely crime that you could be exposed to would be pick pocketing, but security is stationed in many public areas to protect the travelers' interests.

Sharm is a beautiful city in an amazingly historical city. If you plan a vacation to Sharm, whether on its on or as part of one of the available Egypt packages, you will not be disappointed, and you will leave with some fantastic memories (and hopefully photographs) that will last a lifetime.

Get the best price on your Florida Holiday

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4

Getting the best a package holiday deal may not seem as straightforward as you might think.  Although it is highly convenient just to search on the internet for a "Florida package deals" for example and then pick one from a provider or broker, you may not be getting the most suitable holiday or at the lowest possible price.

Often instead of opting for a "pre packaged" holiday where the elements of the trip are decided by the vendor, it can be much better to pick and match the different elements yourself.   For example your holiday could be made up of a flight, hotel, transfers and tickets for visitor attractions.  Not only can it be beneficial to choose these items yourself, it could also work out cheaper.  Some operators may even mark up certain items or not give you the best price possible.  So instead of searching for a package deal as a whole, try searching for "Cheap Florida Villas" and book your accommodation separately.

You should also consider which elements of your holiday are most important to you and how much of your budget you which to apportion to them.  A night flight from the UK might be the default offering from a package holiday operator, but may not suit all travellers as (a) they have to travel a long way to the airport or (b) they have young children for example.  In this respect you may want to pay a bit more for a flight that departs during the day.  Equally you could be content with a night flight but rather pay a bit more for a nicer hotel.

An additional reason why a DIY package holiday could benefit you is if you plan to go away for another other length of time than the standard 7,10 or 14 days as this is what pre package holidays tend to cater for.

When you book the individual elements you also have more leverage in bargaining the price down.  A package holiday when bought as one will almost always have set fees within it that have been agreed by the operator between and the other parties such as the airlines and hotel owners.  If you book these yourself you can negotiate a lower rate for each part of your holiday.  And don’t be afraid to haggle, the travel industry is in dire need of new passengers due to global economic slowdown and rocketing air fuel prices.  There are plenty of "Cheap Florida Holidays" to be had!

adults. Enjoy the skin treatments, massages, saunas, and hot tubs. Some resorts also have game rooms for the teens and younger kids.
